Rated for the hypnotic shadowplay aesthetics and the five minutes of Orson Welles charisma. Otherwise, I didn't really care for the plot and characterization all that much.
your comment almost made me go back and subtract the half LOL! but no, that rating feels right.
admittedly, i was dissapointed due to hype-induced expectations, yeah. it's just more of a movie (rather than film) than i'd thought and as i *should* have expected, it's got a film-noir-like treatment of the plot and characters that's prob no worse than the next film noir's (i mean it might even be particularly good for a film noir but that's not for me to judge), so yeah i guess it's more like a taste thing.
oh and it really gets on my nerves when "foreigners" in movies speak English perfectly down to idioms and problematic grammar, only with a few strategically-placed idiotic mistakes and a demonstrative accent.
woot, and u still gave it three and a half? kanerva has hyped about this as long as i remember, so it on the must-sees anyways.

but the visuals, oooh the visuals and the atmosphere, it really feels more like I place where I've been than like a movie I've seen!
